Marzipan

MARZIPAN




Ingredients:

Serves: 16 

  • 250g icing sugar
  • 250g finely ground blanched almonds
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract


Method:

  1. Blend the icing sugar, finely ground almonds, egg whites, salt and almond extract in a blender until perfectly blended. 
  2. Chill covered 24 hours to harden.
TIP: If you want, you can melt some chocolate au bain marie. Make shapes from the marzipan and use a toothpick to dip the marzipan shapes into the melted chocolate. Let it then dry and get hard again. Great treats for X-mas.
