Mayonaise II

MAYONAISE II


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 egg yolks
  • 150ml oil
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon white vinegar

METHOD:


  1. In a large bowl add the egg yolk, a generous teaspoon of Dijon mustard, and salt and pepper. 
  2. Then using a whisk mix all of these ingredients together to create the base of your mayonnaise.
  3. While whisking vigorously, start adding the oil little bit by little bit, using nothing more then a table spoon at a time. Make sure that every bit of oil you add is well incorporated in the mix before you add more. 
  4. Repeat the process until all of the oil has been used
  5. By now you should have a good amount of mayonnaise which should be ferm and can be used right away.
