EASY PORK MEATBALLS
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg of mince pork
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp salt (divided)
- 1 tbsp pepper
- breadcrumbs
- 1 big onion or 2 small ones
- nutmeg to taste
- oil or butter to fry
METHOD:
- Chop the onion(s) into small pieces.
- Put the mince in a big bowl and add the egg yolks, mix well.
- Add the onion, nutmeg, 1 tbsp salt & pepper, mix well
- Add breadcrumbs to make it less sticky to your preference
- roll balls out of the mixture
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to the boil
- Add 1 tbsp salt
- Add the mince meat balls to the water. They will sink to the bottom. When they float up, remove from the pot and keep aside. Leave cooked meatballs to cool completely.
- Heat up oil or butter in a large pan
- Fry the meatballs till brown.
