Spaghetti pomodori Zizzi

 SPAGHETTI POMODORO


Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Can of chopped tomatoes
  • Salt
  • Basil
  • 60g spaghetti
  • Parmesan

How to:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. 
  2. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until the onion is soft.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for 3 minutes. 
  4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and season with salt. 
  5. Cook the sauce until it starts to thicken, stirring occasionally. 
  6. When the sauce has thickened, stir in the fresh basil. 
  7. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until al dente, according to package instructions. 
  8. Drain the pasta holding back a little pasta water. 
  9. Place the pasta back in the large pot, add the tomato sauce and hot pasta water. 
  10. Stir until the sauce coats the pasta. 
  11. Add Parmesan cheese and toss until cheese is melted. 
  12. Plate the pasta and garnish with basil
