Indian Curry Base Srikant

 


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium sized onion (100gr)
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes (200gr)
  • 1 tsp of ginger & garlic paste
  • green chillies
  • oil (mustard oil, peanut oil, ghee, sesame oil)
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
Method:
  1. chop the onion and tomato really small and fine or puree it
  2. deseed the chillies
  3. Heat oil in a heavy thick bottom pan (to avoid burning) on medium heat
  4. Add the onion (paste) and ginger/garlic paste and stir well for 3-4 min
  5. Add the spices
  6. Cook for about a minute, add water if needed
  7. Add tomato puree and mix it up
  8. Cook it by 5 more minutes
