Ingredients
- Tomato-3 nos
- Onion-2 medium
- Green chilli-3 nos
- Dry red chilli- 3 or 4 nos
- Garlic – 5 or 6 cloves
- Curry leaves – 2 sprig
- Coriander leaves-small amount
- Toor dal (or yellow split peas) -1 tsp
- Urud dal (or black lentil)-1 tsp
- Cumin seed-1 tsp
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
- Oil- 2 or 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water for cooking
Method
- Heat coconut oil in a pan add mustard seed ,let splutter
- Again we add toor dal and urud dal in to the pan.
- Then we add dry red chilli and cumin seed saute well
- Now we add crushed garlic, onion and green chilli, saute for few minutes .
- Add salt and curry leaves mix well .
- Again we add chopped tomato pieces, mix well cover and cook till the tomatoes are mashed.
- Then we add curry powders like red chilli powder and turmeric powder combine well.
- Now we add little amount of water and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Finally we add cleaned and chopped coriander leaves mix well .
- Turn off the flame and serve
