INGREDIENTS: (Serves 4)
- 4 cups of rice
- 8 cups of water
- 1 tbsp salt
METHOD:
- Rinse the rice in a pan of water
- Soak for 30 min
- Drain water
- Add fresh water and salt
- Bring to boil
- Lower the heat
- Simmer for 15 min
- Take off the heat and let it rest for 5 min
NOTES:
Use 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice.
If using a rice cooker, use the same amount of water as for the rice + 1
Example: 4 cups of rice = 5 cups of water.
