INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large onions chopped
- 3 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 stick of celery
- 1 kg beef mince
- 2 large glasses of red wine
- 2 x 400 gr cans of chopped tomatoes
- salt
- black pepper
METHOD:
- Heat oil in saucepan
- Add onions and garlic. Fry till soft.
- Add beef, fry till brown
- Pour in the wine and boil until it has reduced in volume by half
- reduce temp
- Stir in the celery, tomatoes, salt and pepper
- Cover lid and simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally.
