KOOTTU KARI
IngredientsCut pieces of raw banana - 2 nos
- Carrots - 1
- Grated coconut - half of a coconut
- Chickpea - 100 g
- Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
- Green chilli - 4
- to 5 pieces
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp
- Small onion - 2 nos
- Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Method of preparation
- Heat some water in a vessel.
- Into this put chickpea followed by cut pieces of raw banana. Stir a bit.
- Add pieces of carrot.
- Cover the vessel and cook for some more time.
- Uncover the vessel and add split green chillies.
- Add salt.
- Add grated coconut and stir well.
- Add some turmeric and stir well. If required add some water.
- Put some curry leaves and stir
- In another vessel, take some oil and add the chopped pieces of small onion and stir gently.
- Add this to the Koottu kari preparation already cooked and kept aside. Stir a bit.
