Malvani Egg Masala

MALVANI EGG MASALA



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup dry coconut (chopped)
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 medium size sliced onions
  • oil
  • 5 garlic cloves (whole)
  • 5 hard boiled egg with slits on 4 sides (see video)
  • 1 raw egg
  • salt
  • pinch of turmeric
  • pinch of chili powder
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 50 ml water
  • 2 tbsp Malvani Masala powder
  • pinch of turmeric
  • 3 cups of water
  • chopped coriander leaves

METHOD:

  1. Fry the coconut in a pan without oil, set aside
  2. Heat 1 tsp of oil
  3. Add onion and garlic and fry until brown
  4. Add the fried coconut and saute for 2 min
  5. Remove from the fire and let it rest for 10 min
  6. Heat 2 tbsp of oil
  7. Add the salt, turmeric and chili powder and saute for few seconds
  8. Add the boiled eggs and saute for 2 min
  9. Remove the eggs and set aside
  10. Take the coconut / onion / garlic mix, add 50 ml water and grind to a paste.
  11. Heat up 2 tbsp of oil
  12. Add the onion and saute for 3 min
  13. Add the tomato and saute
  14. Add the Malvani Masala and turmeric and saute till oil comes out
  15. Add coconut paste
  16. Add 3 cups of water
  17. Add Salt
  18. Cover & Cook on low flame for 5 min
  19. Add 1 raw egg and cook for 2 min, stirring
  20. Add the boiled eggs
  21. Add chopped coriander leaves, covver and cook for 5 min
  22. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
