Kerala Prawns Coconut Stir Fry

 

Ingredients

  • Ginger – 1 nos
  • Garlic – 7 to 8 nos
  • Grate coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves – 2 to 3 sprigs
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
  • Oil – 1/2 ltr

Method

  1. Firstly, we have to crush the ginger and garlic into a smooth paste and set it aside.
  2. Take a bowl and add red chilli powder, garam masala, pepper powder turmeric powder and salt.
  3. Then add crushed ginger and garlic paste and combine them well.
  4. Sprinkle some water and make a smooth paste.
  5. Then add the smooth paste masala to the cleaned prawn pan and combine them well.
  6. Cover and marinate for half an hour.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and add marinated prawns.
  8. Fry them well, drain and set aside.
  9. Repeat the same process with balanced marinated prawns.
  10. Using the same prawn frying pan as before.
  11. Add curry leaves and grated coconut.Saute them well for a few minutes.
  12. Add the fried prawns and mix them well.Cook for a few minutes.
  13. Remove from fire and set aside.
