Potato and Beans Masala Fry

 

Ingredients

  • Beans – 1/2 kg
  • Potato – 3 nos
  • Garlic – 9 to10 nos
  • Curry leaves – 3 or 4 sprigs
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tbsp
  • Mustard seed – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 3 or 4 nos
  • Oil 3 or 4 tbs

Method

  1. Peel and clean the beans. Wash and drain. Chop into medium-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. Peel the potatoes. Cut it into medium sized pieces, wash, drain and set aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed and cumin seed, let them splutter.
  4. Add chopped garlic, sauté them well.
  5. Add chopped potato pieces and sauté them well.
  6. Add some curry leaves and sauté them well.
  7. Add long beans and sauté them well.
  8. Add some salt to taste and sauté well.
  9. Add some spices like red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder
  10. Add some asafoetida powder, sauté well.
  11. Cover the pan with a lid and cook about 15 min till the potatoes and beans are cooked .
  12. Then sprinkle garam masala powder on top and combine them well.
  13. Sauté and fry them well.
  14. Serve
