Ingredients
- Beans – 1/2 kg
- Potato – 3 nos
- Garlic – 9 to10 nos
- Curry leaves – 3 or 4 sprigs
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Garam masala- 1/2 tbsp
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Cumin seed – 1 tsp
- Salt – 3 or 4 nos
- Oil 3 or 4 tbs
Method
- Peel and clean the beans. Wash and drain. Chop into medium-sized pieces and set aside.
- Peel the potatoes. Cut it into medium sized pieces, wash, drain and set aside
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed and cumin seed, let them splutter.
- Add chopped garlic, sauté them well.
- Add chopped potato pieces and sauté them well.
- Add some curry leaves and sauté them well.
- Add long beans and sauté them well.
- Add some salt to taste and sauté well.
- Add some spices like red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder
- Add some asafoetida powder, sauté well.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook about 15 min till the potatoes and beans are cooked .
- Then sprinkle garam masala powder on top and combine them well.
- Sauté and fry them well.
- Serve
