BELGIAN WAFFLES (BRUSSELS)
INGREDIENTS:
250 g self rising flour
½ l milk
250 ml water
100 g butter
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites (separate from the yolks)
2 packs of vanilla sugar
METHOD:
- Melt the butter.
- Mix the flour with the sugar, add a little bit of milk.
- Mix well, add the egg yolks one by one, the rest of the milk and the water.
- Mix well. Heat up the waffle maker.
- Add the melted butter and mix well.
- Beat the egg whites stiff and add lightly to the mix.
- Scoop the mix with a ladle and pour over the hot waffle iron / maker. The mix should be liquid
- Bake the waffles brown
