Belgian Waffles (Brussels)

BELGIAN WAFFLES (BRUSSELS)



INGREDIENTS:
250 g self rising flour
½ l milk
250 ml water
100 g butter
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites (separate from the yolks)
2 packs of vanilla sugar

METHOD:
  1. Melt the butter. 
  2. Mix the flour with the sugar, add a little bit of milk. 
  3. Mix well, add the egg yolks one by one, the rest of the milk and the water. 
  4. Mix well. Heat up the waffle maker.
  5. Add the melted butter and mix well.
  6. Beat the egg whites stiff and add lightly to the mix.
  7. Scoop the mix with a ladle and pour over the hot waffle iron / maker. The mix should be liquid
  8. Bake the waffles brown
