GREEK CHICKEN IN TOMATO SAUCE
INGREDIENTS:
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 1,5 kg chicken, diced
- 1 small onion grated
- 500 gr fresh tomatoes, peeled and pureed or 400 gr can of chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt & pepper
METHOD:
- Heat the oil in a large pan
- Add the chicken and cook over medium heat for 8-10 min
- Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside
- Add the onion to the pan and cook over low heat for 5 min
- Return the chicken to the pan
- pour in the tomatoes
- add the vinegar and sugar
- season with salt & pepper
- cover and simmer for about 1 hour
